Hebron — In the historic village of Ain Maraina, Hebron, farmer Fahd Al-Wahadin carries water to the last piece of land he has left, after the Israeli occupation seized all of his other lands.
Al-Wahadin’s struggle is no longer only over land, but over water as well. Every drop he carries to his land is an attempt to keep what remains of it alive, and to hold on to it in the face of efforts to drive its owners from their land.
Journalist Ihab Al-Alami documented Al-Wahadin’s story and his daily struggle to preserve his land. The story was published across the social media platforms of Quds Feed Network.
The story is part of the outputs of the Independent Journalism Fellowship 2026, implemented by the Palestine Journalism Hub (PJH), with the participation of 20 journalists from different governorates of the West Bank.
The fellowship combines professional training, individual mentoring, and support for producing independent journalistic stories rooted in community issues, giving greater space to people’s voices and lived experiences.
