The Palestine Journalism Hub is delighted to welcome 15 fellow journalists from Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the 1948 territories, while we received 140 applicants. Journalists with us in this initiative have impactful and diverse professional and will start working on their in-depth stories and investigations (video and written) tackling major issues and challenges facing Palestinians, from genocide to entrenchment of settlements, occupation, and apartheid, as well as internal challenges. The initiative ” Strengthening Independent Journalism and Media Networking in Palestine,” is supported by the European Endowment for Democracy (EED). Trainers and journalists Samah Watad and Diaa Haj Bahya will accompany us in dialogues, knowledge-building sessions, and one-on-one mentoring that will cover: preliminary and field research, formulating journalistic hypotheses, identifying knowledge gaps, selecting and verifying sources and individuals, developing a human-centered approach to the journalistic issue, preparing for fieldwork and assessing risks, organizing and analyzing information, constructing the narrative structure and defining the central message, culminating in writing and publication.

We are honored to have our colleagues with us, and we extend our thanks and appreciation to all of our colleagues who applied to the initiative hoping they will be with us in future initiatives.
